This Privacy Policy describes how Audiobook Librarian ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our application and services.
This service is operated in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer and processing of your information in the United States.
When you create an account, we collect your email address and account credentials. Passwords are stored as secure hashes. If you use a supported social sign-in provider, we receive the identifier, email address, and any name or profile-photo information that the provider returns and that is needed to create or sign in to your account.

This data is associated with your account and synchronized across your devices.
We collect an app-generated device identifier to enable multi-device sync, prevent duplicate event processing, and associate devices with an account. We may also collect a device name, app version, operating-system information, and a push-notification token when you use notifications. We do not collect hardware serial numbers or advertising identifiers.
We record playback and service events, such as plays, progress updates, installations, downloads, bookmarks, and feature use. These events may include a device identifier and limited metadata such as a book identifier or title. We use them to synchronize your library, operate badges and other features, understand app usage, improve reliability, and prevent abuse. We do not use them for advertising.
The Android app uses Google Firebase Analytics to measure app and feature use and Firebase Crashlytics to receive crash reports and diagnostic logs. These services may receive app, device, usage, and diagnostic information, including information contained in an error report. Firebase is operated by Google and processes this information under Google's Privacy Policy.
When you submit feedback, we collect your message and account information associated with the submission. If you choose to include diagnostic data, the report can include device information, current-book details, playback information, error logs, and recent API-call details. Feedback is delivered to our support mailbox so we can investigate and respond.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information for third-party marketing or advertising. We share information with service providers only as needed to operate the Service, including Google Firebase for analytics and crash reporting, our email provider for feedback and account email, and push-notification providers for notifications.
You may choose to connect third-party services, including Google, Dropbox, Plex, Audiobookshelf, LibriVox, or other library and content providers. When you do, the app sends the requests and authorization information needed to browse, synchronize, or download the content you select. Those services process information under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control their practices.
Audiobook Librarian is designed for personal libraries. Your library may contain audiobooks that you own, have purchased, or have otherwise obtained the right to use. You may share access to your library with associates (such as family members) who have been granted access by the library administrator. In all cases, it is your responsibility — and that of your library administrator — to ensure that access to any content complies with applicable copyright law and the terms under which that content was obtained.
Audiobook Librarian supports libraries that include recordings from LibriVox and other sources of public domain audiobooks. LibriVox recordings are released into the public domain and may be freely used, shared, and distributed. We do not claim any rights over such recordings.
We retain account, library, device, usage, and diagnostic information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Service, comply with law, and resolve disputes. Retention periods vary by the type of information and the purpose for which it is used.
You can request deletion from the app's Settings screen or, if you no longer have the app, by emailing an account deletion request. We require a verification code sent to the email address on the account before scheduling deletion. Once scheduled, the account is inaccessible immediately and its authentication tokens are revoked. The account and associated data are permanently deleted after 30 days unless you use the cancellation link sent to that email address. We may retain limited information only where necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal, backup, or recordkeeping requirements.
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. Passwords are stored using strong one-way hashing. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Audiobook Librarian is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and revise the “Last updated” date. We may also notify registered users of material changes by email or through the Service.
